I do not participate in any insurance plans at this time. However, I can provide my clients with out of network coverage as well as provide you with some information that could be useful in obtaining partial reimbursement from your insurance network. Most insurance companies will reimburse clients 50%-80% for out-of-network visits. Please note that some may prefer not to use insurance as this is the only way to truly maintain a confidential therapeutic arrangement and avoid having a registered psychiatric diagnosis.
For more information about your specific plan, please call your insurance company’s customer service representative and inquire about their reimbursement policy for “Outpatient Psychotherapy” with an “Out of Network Provider”.
They can then inform you about:
- The percentage they are willing to return to you
- The deductible, if any
- Number of sessions allowed for reimbursement
- And specifics they need written on your receipt
I offer a sliding scale fee to clients in need who otherwise would not be able to afford services at the standard rate. Sessions offered at a reduced fee receive the same attention as sessions that are paid for at full fee. Reduced fee sessions fill up quickly and are offered upon availability.
Payment is due before or at the end of each session. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, cashier’s checks, money orders, or major credit cards. Personal checks are not accepted at this time.
Clients are expected to honor a 24-hour cancellation policy. Such courtesy will allow for the opportunity to fill your originally scheduled time slot. Cancellations received after the 24-hour grace period has elapsed or clients who do not show for their scheduled appointment will be charged the full cost of the session.
